What is an Outpatient Program?
Outpatient rehabilitation allows you to continue to live at home during drug or alcohol addiction treatment. This type of treatment may be more suitable for those unable to take extended absences from work or personal obligations.
Gateway has three levels of outpatient treatment, each with specific time commitments. Before patients are admitted to many of our outpatient programs, they must attend four two hour Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET) groups.
Our traditional outpatient services program, the least restrictive level of care, meets from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. once or twice a week. For evening groups, the frequency of this service could increase to four nights a week depending on the need of the individual. Our next level of care, day program meets three hours a day from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. five days a week for six to eight weeks. Patients can also attend our Intensive Outpatient Program, which is offered both in the mornings from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and evening from 5:45 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. three times a week.
We accept many insurance plans. Treatment for your child will be provided based on your ability to pay for services. Our staff will help you determine a solution for your family through a financial assessment. Visit here for more information on insurance.
This program is funded in part by the City of Jacksonville through a Public Service Grant.
