Ann Finnell, Esquire

Ms. Finnell is a graduate of Duke University and the University Of Florida School Of Law.  In the Public Defender’s Office, 4th Judicial Circuit for over 30 years, she supervised over 30 felony attorneys.  Since January 2009 Ann has been in private practice with the firm founded by her and three other senior attorneys from the Public Defender’s Office: Finnell, McGuinness, Nezami and Andux, P.A. The firm handles criminal cases as well as personal injury, family law, probate and civil trial issues.  She lectures and teaches in the areas of criminal trial and death penalty practice.  She has served on the Florida Supreme Court Committee on Standard Jury Instructions in Criminal Cases, and on the Criminal Procedure Rules Committee.  She is a past chair of the Executive Council of the Criminal Law Section of the Florida Bar.  She is the 1996 recipient of the Barnard Award, in recognition of outstanding service, from the Florida Public Defender Association.  She currently serves as a Master in the Chester Bedell Inn of Court.
