Ms. Sulzbacher graduated from Bartram School (now Bolles) in Jacksonville and attended George Washington University. She lived in New Jersey from 1966 through 1995 where she raised her children. Returning to Jacksonville in 1995, she began working at the Sulzbacher Center for the Homeless (1995-1997) before continuing her work with the homeless at the Mental Health Resource Center. In 2010 she returned to the Sulzbacher Center and remains a vocal advocate for homeless individuals and families. Ms. Sulzbacher has served on the boards for Catholic Charities, Hope Outreach for Everyone, Wayman CDC, Emergency Services and Homeless Coalition of Northeast Florida the North, Rotary Club and Gateway.
