Richard A. Mullaney, Esq.

Mr. Mullaney is the Founding Director of the Public Policy Institute at Jacksonville University. Mr. Mullaney grew up in Jacksonville, FL and received a BA in Political Science, and a law degree, from the University of Florida. He began his career as business attorney for Carlton, Fields, Ward, Emmanuel, Smith, and Cutler followed by being a prosecutor in Florida’s Fourth Judicial Circuit. He worked for nearly 20 years on diverse legal and public policy issues, – including healthcare, education, transportation, economic development, and public safety — as legal counsel and policy advisor to the City of Jacksonville. Mr. Mullaney serves as Chairman, Gateway Board of Directors, as a member of the Gateway Foundation and of the Board of Governors for the Chamber of Commerce. He is past Chairman of St. Vincent’s Healthcare Foundation, and served on the St. Vincent’s Board of Directors. He ran for Mayor of Jacksonville in 2011.
